The Perennial Inn is the perfect retreat for guests wishing privacy and relaxation. Guests rooms are uniquely appointed to provide a cozy romantic setting. These delightful rooms have wide pine floors, high ceilings, and large sunny windows. All are furnished with comfortable queen beds, family antiques and fine furniture. Each has a sitting area. A two room suite is also available - perfect for a family with children.
The traditional, yet cheery parlor or screened-in wrap around porch provide special places to curl up with a good book you brought with you or from our varied library, catch up on letter writing or converse with the innkeepers and other guests. Relax in front of the fireplace in the Gathering Room and enjoy panoramic views of the rolling Blue Mountains that surround the inn. Here you can watch TV, use the VCR or DVD player, or play a game on the large oak table and imagine what life was like on a Maine farm a century ago. For those who just can't getaway from the modern conveniences, there is a public computer with high speed Internet access. For those who travel with there own computer, free wireless Internet will keep you connected throughout the Inn. You could also choose to unwind in the billiard parlor and play a game of pool on the maple billiard table. Maybe you need to soak your muscles in the outdoor hot tub. In the evening you can relax in the courtyard around the outdoor fireplace and toast smores (of course all of the fixings are provided). A perfect way to start your morning is in the dining room, or gathering room with fresh ground and brewed coffee, and a hearty country breakfast. Share your plans for the day with others as you gaze out the large window at what awaits for the day. While afternoon Tea is quickly becoming a tradition, other refreshments in the summer include home brewed ice-tea, old-fashioned flavored sodas, with a few Sam Adams hidden in between the bottles. In the winter spiced cider and fondue are guest favorites. |
